We are looking to hire a part time Maintenance/Custodian who has the skill set and abilities to make minor repairs, paint, construction, work flexible hours, some heavy lifting, painting and assembling furniture.

This is not just a cleaning/housekeeping position! Our work environment includes:
Classrooms Offices Storage Rooms Outdoor Play Area Parking Lot Kitchen Library/Conference rooms Boiler Room We are looking for a part time late afternoon/evening General Maintenance/ Handyman to join our team who is able to help maintain our Preschool Program by keeping it clean and in orderly condition.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and sanitizing all areas of the school.
The Maintenance/ Custodian worker will also be responsible for disposing of trash in the appropriate receptacles, ensuring that all areas are properly stocked with supplies, and performing minor repairs.
In addition, the successful candidate will build and/or assemble furniture for the classrooms, perform some moving and heavy lifting, measuring, painting, etc.
Additional assigned tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
Clean and maintain floors, carpets, and furniture.
Empty all trash cans and replace liners.
Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
Clean up all spills & after sick children.
Clean windows, walls, and ceilings.
Replace ceiling tiles.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
Sweep the front of the school building daily.
Disinfect, clean and sanitize classrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc throughout the day.
Perform walk throughs with exterminator, fire department, licensing,plumber, etc as needed.
Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
Install appliances and equipment.
Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
Maintain Daily Log of tasks completed.
Be flexible with your hours ( Would need to be able to fill in for the day custodian as needed) Assigned tasks as needed per Supervisor Full background check clearance and fingerprinting required.
